Member Relationship Manager

The Trafford Member Relationship Manager’s primary role is member and guest liaison.  This will include attending Trafford networking events and dinners, one-to-one meetings, telephone calls, social media responses, and email communication.  

The position is for a highly self-motivated and organised person, who is capable of managing a busy schedule and building relationships.  This is the ideal job for a charismatic person, who is well organised and capable of keeping accurate records.

Trafford Enterprises is a business networking organisation ( whom host by-invitation only business networking dinners for senior decision makers of established companies.  In outline, we bring together complimentary business people to build professional friendships so they can recommend each other with confidence.  

The Member Relationship Manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing members, helping them to connect with people throughout our network, and to work with our members on connecting with their recommendations for potential new members.  The Member Relationship Manager will also be responsible for inviting, pre-event telephone interviewing, and post-event follow-up meetings with potential new members, as well as venue and supplier liaison from time to time.  

This is a busy on-the-go role that will require a very organised personable person, who is happy to spend time dining out and meeting people primarily, but also understands the requirement to be in the office to get administration tasks done.  The successful candidate must be great at organising their time, have sharp presentation skills and excellent communication in both spoken and written English.  

Most of our events are held in the evening, and the successful candidate must be flexible on their working hours, some days will be a normal 9 to 5 office day, whereas on event days the successful candidate will start mid afternoon with an average 10pm finish.   

Full training is given. 

In outline, the key duties will be:

1. Event Hosting

2. Meeting with existing members 

3. Booking in (by telephone) guests 

4. Liaison with existing members 

5. Following up with guests post-event

6. Maintaining accurate records of all interactions with members and guests

7. Providing ad hoc support, as required, to the Managing Director and other events hosts as required. 


Initially this is for a 3 day per week position of 24 hours per week.  Flexible working will be required, and the schedule works on a rota basis, issued in advance.  However, this position has the potential to become full time should the successful candidate have this interest.

Non-Smoker essential.  Must have clean driving licence, and ideally have own car.
